New Kapadokia is a Turkish restaurant in Redwood City,
recommended by Michael and Andy.
The menu's similar to most Greek and Middle Eastern restaurants -
kebabs, eggplant dishes, dolmas, hummus, fillo & feta, meat stews, chicken.
There's more emphasis on vegetable dishes than in most Greek restaurants,
several Turkish ravioli dishes, kofte, and really extensive appetizers.
The appetizers aren't on the menu - they bring out a tray of whatever
they're making that day.  There were 11 of us, and about 10 types of apps,
so we of course ordered one of everything and extras of the hummus and 
Red Stuff (a walnut, red pepper, tomato, cumin paste.)
The eggplant and cauliflower apps had a wonderful deep smoky flavor,
the hummus was some of the best we've had, Red Stuff was interesting.
Most apps were cold, plus they had a hot phyllo & cheese dish.
Main courses were well-received, and desserts included baklava,
irmik (an interesting semolina dessert), and a phyllo / sweet cheese dish.

KW first to New Kapadokia on 9/1/4, and spent about $34 per person,
mainly because we overdosed on appetizers (which would have been an
adequate meal by themselves) and desserts.  Main dishes were mostly ~$15.
Service was very personal - the manager likes to talk to the guests,
and introduced his partner the cook, plus the waiters were attentive.


Directions:

From South:
	1. Take 101 North towards Redwood City.
	2. Take Woodside Rd/CA-84 West/Seaport Blvd. Exit.
	3. Go West.
	4. Turn RIGHT on Broadway St. @ 2nd Traffic Light.
	5. Follow Broadway St. to Winslow St. intersection.
	6. New Kapadokia is on the southeast corner.

From North: 101S -> Whipple -> L on Winslow -> Broadway.

Caltrain: New Kapadokia is on the East side of the tracks, near the station.
	If the station lets you cross the tracks, it's right there;
	otherwise you'll have to go around via Brewster or something.
